The Snap-on HVAC DIAGNOSTICS INSTRUMENTS Certification is designed to train technicians in the advanced technologies needed to successfully test building heating, ventilation and air condition (HVAC) system performance. Participants will prepare and operate specialized tools to test for indoor air quality, carbon monoxide, air distribution, pressure and vacuum testing, temperature, fluid integrity, and combustible gases. Students and technicians who successfully complete the course will leave with the capabilities required for testing HVAC systems.
Competencies
- The TPI VIEW certification focuses on the Bluetooth mobile app and how it can be used with the other three related certifications (Heating System Diagnostics, Air Conditioning System Diagnostics and Facilities Management Diagnostics).
- Competencies that are covered are How to Get the App, how to properly load the TPI View app on a smart device, how to properly setup the app on a smart device, explain the benefits of the TPI View app, understanding of the Icons, explain the steps necessary to connect an instrument, describe the functions of the icons in the TPI View app, perform a link or connection between a diagnostic instrument and the TPI View app, how to enter a job ID and customer information into the TPI View app, and access the Customer Portal on the TPI View App
